The trip takes you to the most Western point of Mongolia. Altai Tavan Bog national Park which has some of the most stunning scenery in all of Mongolia with snow-capped mountains, glaciers, deep lush valleys and large lakes. Our trek explores the best of the region in vehicle and on foot. During this tour you will meet culture of kazakh nomads and their unique way of lifestyle.

Itinerary:

Day1. Arrival in Ulan Bator. Transfer to hotel. Relaxing day for next days trekking. Meal:L,D

Day2. Flight to Ulgii, center of Bayan-Ulgii province. Flight takes 3 hours and meet your local team, drivers, cook and local guide. Entering Altai Tavan Bogd National park. Arrive in Tsagaan gol. Tent stay. Meal:B,L,D

Day3. Leave vehicles here and luggages will be loaded on horse and camel back toward the Altai Tavan Bogd peaks of 4100-4374m. Start trekking to Potanin glacier. With the supports of camels, we will trek for 16 km to the base camp area close to Potanina glacier. We will camp in a field which allows us to have breathtaking views of the stunning, eye capturing peaks of the snow-capped mountains. Tent stay. Meal:B,L,D

Day4. After breakfast hiking up to the Malchin peak which is more than 4000 meters above sea level. you can easily be on the top of that peak where you will have full view to Russia and completely snow capped white mountains of Kazakhstan and Chinese Altai. Tent. Meal:B,L,D

Day5. Arrive at Shiveet Khairkhan Mountain via Tsagaan Gol. Visit to Tuvan nomad family. Here we will see Shiveet Khairkhan petro glyphs related to bronze age . Tent. Meal:B,L,D

Day6. Hiking to bear valley which is picturesque landscape surrounded by green land snow capped mountain. Moreover, you have chence to see wild animals such as Black Bear, Red Dear, Marmots and Wolfs...Spend night over there. Meal:B,L,D

Day7. Hiking in Tsagaan gol gorge and green lake area. Overnight in tent. Meal:B,L,D

Day8. Meet the vehicle team and relaxing after several days trekking. Tent. Meal:B,L,D

Day9. Arrive in beautiful landscape with waterfall and high mountain area. Visit to Eagle hunting Kazakh family. Meet their way of lifestyle with hundreds years old eagle hunting culture. Meal:B,L,D

Day10. Hiking in beautiful landscape of Khoton and Khurgan lake area. Tent stay. Meal:B,L,D

Day11. Arrive back in Ulgii. Local hotel. Meal:B,L,D

Day12. Flight back to Ulaanbaatar. Transfer to the hotel. Meal:B,L,D

Day13. Terelj national Park and Chinggis khaan statue complex which is the tallest horseback statue in the world. Overnight in comfortable Ger camp. Meal: B,L,D

Day14. Arrive in Ulaanbaatar. Shopping and evening cultural performance show. Hotel Meal: B,L,D

Day15. Transfer to the airport and departure. Meal: B
